Now Open! Bar Raval
"Bar Raval will be as much an art piece as a restaurant, the architects we hired are the only people in Canada and perhaps the world capable of achieving my vision for one of the greatest Bars in the World."
-- Grant van Gameren, Owner-Chef Bar Isabel and Bar Raval
Breaking News: Union Station

This groundbreaking project will re-imagine the possibilities of pubic transit infrastructure.
Sans Souci, Georgian Bay
The Grotto Sauna is a sculpted space, a sensual experience, and a sophisticated exercise in building science. Historically, grottos are secret, natural spaces within simple-looking rock formations. Their interiors are carved by natural forces to create sublime worlds of complexity and wonder, and as such this project is born from the rock and heat that shapes it inside and out.
Think Tank Office
TD Towers, Toronto
This project is think tank, an undulating waffle of marine plywood surfaces defining an open concept central studio space. The space efficiency is more than double the average Toronto's financial district. Form Follows Finance is the mantra of this sculptural interior.
Gweilo is a new series of lighting product that transforms the light source itself. Thin sheets of LED bulbs are molded into a series of beautiful and dynamic sculptures. Each light is hand sculpted by an artist in its hot plastic state, allowing for infinite possibility in the shape, size and detail of the finished object.
The Bar House lies on the peak of a promontory in the outer islands of the Georgian Bay Archipelago. It is one of Canada's most iconic and recognizable landscapes.
This house brings the family out above and into the land so that the experience of the context is complete and three dimensional. Inside the rock, atop the rock, and finally floating above it in the sky to take in what some consider one of the most dramatic sunsets in the world.
Excerpt from graphic novel,
"The work of fiction you are holding is about building civilizations in general, and the contemporary city specifically. It satirizes the current trajectory of Toronto, building to a fantastical future, for the purposes of dialogue. The city is a dream; a collective one. We invite you to dream with us about what inspires and makes our dreams a reality – our city, our home, Toronto."
Pepsi Soda Carbonation Experience
Inspired by the theatre of chemistry, carbonization, interaction and combinatorial multi-sensory experience, remix exploits the boundaries of music and mixology through an immersive remixed interactive environment.
Modular pods echoing the effervescence of carbonation populate the grounds creating spaces and places for music and mixology.
A scaleable idea, working from the most playful hand held toy to the size of a human scaled pavilion.
The Inukshuk house lies on the peak of a promontory in the outer islands of the Georgian Bay Archipelago. It is one of Canada's most iconic and recognizable landscapes. This house echos the notion of placing stones into the natural environment, much in the way First Nations cultures in Canada construct Inukshuk as wayfinders or landmarking.
New Mecca Masterplan Competition
Rethinking Mecca is the culmination of three years of research into the history and architecture of the seat of Islam: the holy mosque and the Kabah black cube, at its center.
Our scheme, for the global competition, is based on the founding act of Islam when Mohammed returned to Makkah from Medina and destroyed the idols stored within the Kabah, leaving the black cube itself as the last remaining idol. Indeed, it is still the center of the Hajj Pilgrimage. Our scheme asserts that the concept that God is the abstract and unknowable through Islam should be explored, thus we represent this with the absence of form and replace the black kabah with a point of singularity or impression in the earth.
