PARTISANS is committed to the open engagement of students as important to the practice and evolution of architecture and design. As such PARTISANS accepts limited placements for rolling internships on a year round basis. Students are welcome from all over the world. Students from outside of Canada are encouraged to apply/enroll in the Canadian Working Holiday VISA for this internship as this is temporary work on a part time basis. Rolling internships will give students real opportunities to impact projects at all scales as well as speculative competitions as well as design research. PARTISANS is looking for advanced designers and architects with a focus on experimental architectural fabrication systems. This person should be strong on design as well as the use of advanced design software systems. Qualified applicants will have skills that have been applied in the field for other architects or for projects built. Proficiency in coding of advanced geometric/structural systems using grasshopper, excel, t-splines, and or rhino are a minimum requirement. Skills in renderings with the use of any of the following are expected at a general level of proficiency: mental ray, 3ds max, and VRAY for either Rhino or Max. Compensation will be discussed on an applicant by applicant basis.
